Bryant Lake Regional Park – Minnesota

Bryant Lake Regional Park is part of the Three Rivers Park District and is located in Eden Prairie, Minnesota. 170 beautiful acres including a fenced 9-acre off-leash dog park. As you hike, you’re surrounded by rolling hills, woodlands, and the lovely Bryant Lake.

There are a lot of activities to enjoy at the park; Dog Trails, Biking, Hiking, Boating, Fishing, Disc Golf, Geocaching, Paddling, Swimming, Play Areas, and Picnicking. Can you guess Allen’s favorite activity?

We enjoyed the quiet while walking the trails, the wonderful wildflowers, and the songbirds. All the trails are very well-kept. There is a nice combination of paved trails (specifically for the dogs) and unpaved trails. You can find pdf maps HERE.

Lots of acorns right now. Watch your step. 🙂

The stairs in the picture below are awesome for an extra workout. 👌

They are doing a great job with reminding people to respect each other’s space during the pandemic. ❤️

Late summer and fall is the best time of the year in Minnesota. Enjoy!

  • A Visitor – A Sign

    A Visitor – A Sign

I never take moments like this for granted.

I was getting packed up to visit my parents and about to walk out the door. All of a sudden, I remembered a dog toy that I wanted to bring along that was out in our backyard. I ran to the back door and just as I was about to open, I spotted this beauty.

Here is what Ted Andrews book, Animal-Speak, says about seeing a hawk.

Spirit vision and guardianship surround you. Be patient and observe. You will see the opportunities. Signs are clear.

    Enjoy the weekend!

Pause, relax, and don’t miss all the beauty surrounding you.

History at Heart – Art Installation – Minnesota

We are grieving. We are longing. We are dreaming. – MN Historical Society

1,000 hearts line the fence at Mill City Museum. The Minnesota Historical Society created this raw art installation as a space for people to share their thoughts. We are living in a historic moment. The world feels upside down but as I walked the fence, and read what people wrote, I remembered the strength of the human spirit. I laughed and I cried.

Stay tuned as they plan to expand this installation to other parts of MN.

Spring Thaw Gala – Boys and Girls Club Twin Cities

I’m honored to be working with the Boys & Girls Clubs of the Twin Cities as an event photographer. Here are a few photos from their recent Spring Thaw event (March 7th – my last event before the pandemic) at the new beautiful Quincy Hall. The band Consolation Champ was awesome!

The event was catered by CRAVE American Kitchen & Sushi Bar. I loved their creativity with the food and making it easy for people to grab and mingle.

The Block – Dog Friendly Patio – St. Louis Park, Minnesota

For Valentine’s Day, we brought our favorite Valentine (our rescue dog, Allen) to The Block in St. Louis Park to check out their dog-friendly patio. We were so impressed! They have thought of everything to make your dining experience with your pup amazing.

Allen has been to restaurant patios but has always been the only dog so we weren’t sure how he would behave in this setting with other dogs. When we walked in, I explained that to the server and she was so accommodating. She told me that they have frozen Von Hanson‘s smoked beef marrow bones that work well to keep the dogs busy and distracted. Of course, the bone worked and Allen LOVED it!

Once seated, they bring your dog a mat to lay on, a big bowl of water and a little treat. They offer a menu just for the dogs from frozen bones to full meals. On one end of the patio, there is an awesome wall for photos and other end, a TV playing dog videos.

Besides being dog-friendly, the food was delicious! I really appreciated all of their gluten-free options. I loved this burrata salad and Terry loved all the craft beer choices. We also had cheeseburgers (mine with a yummy gluten-free bun) and the tater tots were perfect on this chilly Minnesota day!

For dessert, I was excited to see Muddy Paws Cheesecake, hand-crafted locally by our friend, Tami! They also offer some super fun, over the top, shakes that I can’t wait to try.

Find the menu, weekly specials, hours and location HERE. We are so happy to have a new quality restaurant in SLP and to hang out on the patio in the summer!
